Booking terms & conditions
Bookings normally run from Friday to Friday, unless otherwise stated. Bookings are from 4.00pm on the day of arrival until 10.00am on the day of departure. Holiday makers should be available to collect the key from Abermharra between 3pm and 4pm on the day of arrival unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed by the owner. Occupancy is restricted to stated maximum number (excluding babies in cots).
On confirmation of the booking a non refundable deposit of 30% of the total is required, or the full amount if the holiday is within 4 weeks. The balance of 70% is due 4 weeks before the holiday start date. We accept payment by sterling cheque or by major credit/debit cards via the website http://www.holidayscotland-eastneuk.com/.
Please note that all bed linen and towels are provided. A travel cot and high chair can be provided, on request, at no additional charge (linen for cot not provided).
Electricity and gas, central heating and hot water are all included in the price.
All members of the your party must agree to -
1) Leave the property in a clean and good condition, as found upon arrival.
2) Keep the property secure when left unoccupied during your holiday.
3) Pay for any damage / breakages and any missing items from the inventory.
4) Not cause any nuisance or disturbance to people staying nearby.
Abermharra has a strict no-smoking policy throughout.
Regretfully pets are not permitted within the house.
Use of the holiday property is at the holidaymaker’s own risk. No liability is accepted by the owners for injury to the holidaymakers or for loss of personal property belonging to the holidaymakers, including motor cars. Holidaymakers must take all necessary steps to safeguard their personal property. We recommend that holiday insurance should be taken out.
If you cancel your holiday after your booking has been confirmed you are liable for the full cost of the holiday. We will endeavour to re-let the property and, if successful, we will make a full refund less an administration charge of £55. It is important that cancellations are intimated to us by telephone followed by immediate written confirmation. The onus is on the holidaymakers to take out their own holiday cancellation insurance.
Holidaymakers have the right to occupy the property for the purpose of their holiday only - Section 12(2) and paragraph 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act applies.
The owner reserves the right to demand the immediate departure of any holidaymaker/s not complying with the booking conditions, or for any conduct detrimental to the property.
If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide the property booked we will refund all monies that you have paid in full and the holidaymakers will have no further claim against the owner.
By signing the booking form and/or by making an email, internet or telephone booking with deposit/payment made by cheque or credit/debit card, you are deemed to have accepted these booking conditions, and you must ensure that all members of your party understand and comply with these terms.
